On the 4th of May 2023, the 2nd stakeholders policy recommendations workshop “EcoFashionEU – Promoting the sustainability of small and medium textile and fashion manufacturers”, was held, with the participation of EU representatives and experts.
The event was attended by the Director of Innovation of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ms. Ceu Filipe , the Policy Advisor on Managing Sustainable, Ethical & Circular Business Supply Chains in Fashion, Founder & Country Coordinator of “Fashion Revolution” Greece , Dr Fiori A Zafeiropoulou, the Head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Center at Kaunas University of Technology, Ms. Jolita Čeičytė-Pranskūnė, the Project Officer of “Wear Your Origins”, Ms. Eleni Mavrogeni, the Marketing director of Nafpaktos Yarns, Member of EU Cotton Alliance and of the Greek Interprofessional Cotton Association, Mr. George Kitras, as well as the official of the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency, Ms. Sabine Taverne.
During the event, the participants shared their views, good practices, and policy recommendations in order to support small, micro and medium enterprises in the fashion and textile industry, to adopt more sustainable and circular practices.
