Sustainable Fashion Fair 20& 21 April at Impact Hub Athens

The Athens Chamber of Small and Medium Size Industries, member of Enterprise Europe Network Hellas, supports the sustainable development of small and medium size sustainable fashion brands and organises in collaboration with Impact Hub Athens a two-day sustainable fashion fair on Satuday 20 and Sunday 21 April, 12.00pm- 21.00pm.

The sustainable fashion fair is implemented in the context of EU- funded program EcoFashionEU- Promoting the sustainability of small and medium textile and fashion manufacturers with ACSMI-leading partner. The two-day event aims to promote sustainable fashion and SMEs that produce ready-made clothing, textile and fashion, which are enviromentally-friendly and eco-conscious.

By supporting businesses that prioritize transparency, fair labor practices and environmental stewardship, we can help drive positive change within the fashion industry and move towards a more sustainable future.

Two days of interactive and educational workshops, film screenings and a market with a wide range of clothes and accessories included in the program.

The entrace to the market is free and the space is accessible.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore clothes from 30 fashion brands such as: Hallelujah, Keeklos, LoveCuts, Christiana Vardakou Atelier, It’s a shirt, Convertart, FG Fashion Designer, Pepper Vally, Συν Αθηνά και Χείρα Κίνει, Mary Stasini, Oratia Organic Underwear, Daphne Alex, Eating the Goober, and Efi Valasi. Hand-made jewellerey and accessories from the brands Apiliotis Jewelry, Amalthea Athens, Print Silk, Fibra Fibra & Fingerprint. In addition, the brand Pico will offer the chance to visitors to have the imprint of their fingerprint on a chevalier ring or a pendant.

Program 20/04, 18.00 | Film Screening Traceable by Jennifer Sharpe with English subtitles, 2014, duration: 1h 07.

Traceable is a documentary that deals with the issue of the traceability of a garment in the fast fashion industry. This is a 2014 documentary that highlights our disconnection from the clothing production chain. Where, how and who make our clothes? Through interviews with industry experts, while documenting designer Laura Siegel’s trip to India, the film explores our relationships with the communities affected by the clothes we consume. The film will be shown in English without subtitles.

Sunday 21/04, 18.00 | Film Screening Fashion Reimagined by Becky Hutner, duration: 1h 40, with English subtitles

The film follows the journey of Amy Powney, the daughter of environmental activists, from the fringes to the center of the fashion industry as she strives to create a clothing collection that is ethical and sustainable at all stages.

Saturday 20/04 and Sunday 21/04: Workshop for children

Throughout the two days, History Line, through its ongoing workshop and using its children’s History & Costume books, will help our little friends understand the uniqueness of Historical Clothing by playing.
